Robert is currently recording material for a new album and is also working with various artists in the studio, playing, arranging and producing their projects. He is also giving private instruction on piano, guitar and audio recording.

Robert worked as a studio musician for world-renowned record producer Jimmy Miller who produced some of the most popular bands of the 60's and 70's. (Rolling Stones, Traffic, Stevie Winwood, Spooky Tooth, Blind Faith, Spencer Davis Group, etc.). He was a member of the Boston-based band "Johnny Barnes and The Automatics" fronted by Boston's legendary Johnny Barnes. In the early 80's Robert fronted his own band "Ellis Island" which led to the release of an independent album which was listed in Billboard Magazine and received extensive airplay worldwide.
He has also performed with bassist Tom Hamilton from the rock band Aerosmith. Recorded and performed with singer/guitarist Jon Butcher from Jon Butcher Axis, Billy Squire and Gary Moore drummer Bobby Choinard, various members of The Joe Perry Project, New England, The Little River Band and Grammy winners Herb Reed and the Platters (providing their string arrangements). He also worked with record producer Phil Greene (New Kids on the Block, Dropkick Murphys, Room Full of Blues and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones).

Robert Ellis has been a performer, songwriter, studio musician, engineer and producer for over 30 years. He is a graduate of The Berklee College of Music in Boston with a major in piano. He is also a guitarist, vocalist and tenor sax player. Robert has toured extensively performing in various music venues opening for such acts as Rick Derringer, Tommy James, John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band, Neil Geraldo, and Southside Johnny and The Asbury Dukes.
